 Overview

 The chief financial officer in the real estate sector is an officer that has primary responsibility for managing the company's operations and project development finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, tax, acquisitions and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Management team member in terms of strategy decision
  • Lead a team of finance, audit, administration and accounting professionals.
  • Overseeing and understanding the capital management process
  • Managing transactions through purchase, development, and sale of properties and projects
  • Serving as the liaison between the local company and headquarter
  • Effectively communicating internally and with banks and investors regarding project details and financial needs
  • Join the commercial negotiation as a finance representative
  • Assess the economics evaluation
  • Liaise with other finance functions to support deal
  • Effectively manage the consultant/supplier in the deal
  • Managing the accounting and finance team
  • Providing regular property management reports
  • Maintaining a review and audit process
  • Processing and managing invoices for all sub-contractors
  • Establishing, monitoring and managing commercial business accounts
  • Executing the oversight and edits of annual tax returns
  • Interfacing with the company's tax agents
  • Forecasting tax obligation scenarios
  • Managing the property tax assessment and/or appeal process
  • Interfacing with the firm's insurance providers
  • Recommending insurance strategies, negotiating terms, and ensuring appropriate coverage

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics,Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.
  • Proven experience in Real Estate, Investment Banking,Venture Capital, or Private Equity
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skill
