 General Duties Overview

  •  Sound understanding of the QA requirements and Specifications for the <INSERT PROJECT NAME> Project
  • Actively ensure compliance with <INSERT PROJECT NAME> Project QA requirements
  • Pursues theEngineering staff in regards to the QA requirements
  • Sound understanding of company and project procedures
  • Monthly review of Quality Management Plan (QMP)

Meetings

  • Attend all meetings where required
  • Chair QualityAssurance Meeting including taking and distributing minutes and actions

Audits

  •  UndertakeQuality audits on major subcontractors
  •  Participate in External Audits
  •  Participate in Internal Audits

Reporting

  • Daily QualityAssurance reporting to Engineering Manager
  • Weekly QualityAssurance reporting to Engineering Manager

Material Testing

  • Ensure testing registers are up to date
  • Forward test results to client as soon as they been reviewed
  • Maintains contact with testing laboratories to ensure prompt delivery of results

InspectTest Plans

  • Assist in review prior to submission
  • Submit toClient for Approval – Follow up if need
  • Maintain QualityAssurance Document Register
  • Assist in the preparation on Lots for close out
  • Submit HoldPoints to Client for release
  • MaintainHold Point Register

Work Procedures

  • Assist in review prior to submission for Quality Assurance requirements
  • Submit toClient for Approval – Follow up if need
  • Maintain QualityAssurance Document Register

Drawings

  • Maintain drawing register
  • Ensure all relevant parties have latest revision of drawings

Request For Information (RFI’s)

  • MaintainRegister
  • Assist in submission of RFI
  • Follow upon response of RFI with client
  • Ensure that relevant parties receive RFI responses

Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) 

  • MaintainRegister
  • Assist in submission of NCR
  • Follow upon response of NCR with client
  • Ensure that relevant parties receive NCR responses

Requirements of Candidate

  • Bachelor degree or similar in civil engineering, quality or construction management or other relative fields.
  • Experience running a quality department for a general contractor / main contractor
  • Proven team leadership experience of mentoring, training and leading a team of quality engineers.
  • Extensive professional experience in quality management, engineering, and/or auditing
  • Knowledge of construction quality assurance and quality control processes and applications
  • Knowledge of ISO standards applicable to the construction and engineering industry.
  • Ability to problem-solve, set priorities and manage multiple tasks
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace health and safety and ability to abide by <INSERT COMPANY NAME>health, safety and drug/alcohol and other policies.
  • Certified Audit qualifications desirable.
